The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us that we need each other and have a responsibility for the success of each other.

We are Meteors United!

Any gift you can give – large or small – will change a family’s and a student’s life forever!

Here is a letter from De La Salle president Fr. Paul Novak, OSM:

Dear De La Salle Alumni and Friends:

I’m happy to report to you that De La Salle is thriving, albeit a little differently than we’re accustomed to experiencing. Our Meteors are attending classes twice a week, and remotely, through the use of our 1-to-1 tablet technology, three days a week.

Our teachers are engaged in synchronous learning with our Meteors. All of this has been made possible because you invested in our future. I can’t thank you enough for your generosity in technology and for scholarships that enable us to continue to provide a Lasallian education for today’s Meteors.

The COVID-19 pandemic presents unprecedented challenges and the economic fallout has had a profound impact on many of our Meteors and their families. Many of our families have approached us seeking additional tuition assistance.

I’m asking for your help to ensure their Lasallian education. With your generous support of the Meteor Rising Fund at http://www.dls.org/meteorrising.jsp we can help our families in need.

Any gift you can give – large or small – will change a family’s and a student’s life forever!

Your prior investments ensured that our Meteors have never stopped learning! When we were asked to shelter at home, De La Salle was able to successfully initiate its remote learning program and complete the semester. Meteors never stop learning!

This pandemic has taught us that we need each other and have a responsibility for the success of each other. Together, we have the opportunity to write De La Salle’s history of the pandemic of 2020.

What will it say? May it tell the story of pride, perseverance, and fidelity to Lasallian education and to the Meteors of De La Salle Institute.

Our theme for this school year is Meteors United. Together, let us remain united in our efforts. Thank you for your support.

Live Jesus in our Hearts…Forever!

Fr. Paul Novak, OSM
