When you step onto De La Salle’s campus - whether you’ve taken the CTA, the bus, or a car to get here - you can feel the best that Chicago has to offer: rich cultural diversity, a state-of-the-art campus, and a skyline that says "you’re in the beating heart of a world class city."
Since 1889, De La Salle’s location in Chicago’s South Loop/Bronzeville neighborhoods makes it a place for students to learn with neighbors they otherwise may never have met. Our school reflects the diversity of Chicago within its walls, a second home for students from across 70 different zip codes and 200 grade schools. We value diversity as part of our Lasallian mission. Whether students are engaged in classes, catching up with peers in the courtyard after school, or competing in intense games and heated matches, you can experience De La Salle’s commitment to inclusion and celebration of its diversity.
De La Salle is a family. Period.
But we’re not just any family; ours stretches around the world. We’re connected to an expansive network of Lasallian schools stretching over 80 different countries. That’s a lot of people dedicated to faith, service, community, and social justice – the heart of our mission.
Our commitment to student success means you’ll notice innovative programs and flexible student schedules that both honor high expectations and reflect the needs of each student to have fun. You’ll experience a zest for forward momentum – all while honoring time-honored traditions.
You’ll meet De La Salle’s dedicated staff. Our 16:1 student to faculty ratio means we’re able to focus on the whole student and meet you where you are – to then push you to your fullest potential. Our faculty’s pedagogical approach and student-centered curriculum prepares each Meteor to lead their classrooms now and their communities in the future. There’s a reason 96% of our graduating seniors commit to continuing their education at the university level.
