Students will learn to engage others through acts of volunteerism. Art Club The Art Club is an after school club that provides materials, instruction and support for those students who are seeking a creative outlet, to develop an appreciation for fine arts, and learn about the world of art and artists and use them in creative expression. The club goals are to encourage an interest in art, promote creativity, and give the students a forum for display of their work. Academic Policy

Curriculum and Academic Policy Jackowiak, Colletti, Davidson, Bixman, the Stebletons, the Maldonados… De La Salle teachers become your household names. Mr. Wood is a legend - and the recipient of the Lasallian Educator Award - and you know you’ll be talking about what Cunat, Dufficy or Dirschl said long after class is over. How much weight did your bridge hold? Did you have to ask Correa for your locker key again? Did you study for Mrs. Perales’ test?! The buzz is always about how you can be better - and the support is always available for your success. We love to have fun, but we also stress continued success: in order to maintain your enrollment status at De La Salle Institute, all students must earn a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average during any school year. Basically, our curriculum is structured by our faculty to recognize that we’re not just teaching teenagers how to pass exams; we know you and create our lessons based on what you individually need. A full description of the curriculum may be found in the Curriculum Guide published annually. De La Salle offers three programs of study: the Honors Program and the College Preparatory Program. Though…

Student Life

Student Life We educate the entire person: spiritually, mentally and physically. To accomplish this, our teachers and moderators provide our student body with an ever-growing number of extra and co-curricular activities. Each presents its own opportunities for leadership, personal development, skill enrichment, and practical experience and learning. A dedicated team of club moderators work to provide everything from unique culinary experiences and cultural celebrations to guest speaker lineups and once-in-a-lifetime field trips. All the while, our clubs and activities focus on imparting Christian values: ethical decision-making, self-discipline, responsibility, and awareness of our global community. Our focus remains on creating the leaders of tomorrow, while helping facilitate the friendships among classmates that will last a lifetime. Meteor Grow Our students, faculty, and staff have formed new Meteor Grow groups to cultivate a sense of community across our campus. Meteor Grow is a relatively new initiative and everyone has embraced this opportunity to make our school a welcoming environment where everyone can participate in our Lasallian mission to build a community rooted in faith and committed to service and social justice. HONORS PROGRAM Honors Program students are required to take seven (7) classes each year and a minimum of five (5) Honors…
