MONDAY: Soirée Pyjama PJ Day – Oct 4
- Students may wear matching top and bottom pajama sets, “Onesies,” pajama bottoms and a DLS shirt, or De La Salle sweatpants and a DLS shirt.
- Flip-flops are NOT allowed, but crocs or your favorite fuzzy slippers are encouraged!
- Shorts or tank tops are NOT allowed (shorts or tank tops are never allowed on dress down days).
- Clothing must be appropriate (if in doubt wear something else).
TUESDAY: Journée des jumeaux Twin Day – Oct 5
- Students may be out of dress code only if they dress nearly identically with at least one other student or if two or more students are dressed in the same identifiable theme.
- Best dressed twins will receive special recognition and be photographed for the yearbook. See Mr. Dowling, Mr. Miller, or Dean Cal if you have questions about what is or is not appropriate.
WEDNESDAY: Les météores grandissent Meteors Grow Day – Oct 6
- Meteor Grow Groups have decided their theme for this day. If you are unsure what your Meteor Grow Group theme is, please check with your advisor.
- There will be awards/prizes distributed for the best dressed Meteor Grow Group. The best dressed group will be determined from the photos submitted as part of the GooseChase Competition.
- Voting for Homecoming Court will occur during your Meteor Grow period and we will end our day with a Pep Rally!
THURSDAY: Soutenez votre équipe sportive préférée Sports team day – Oct 7
- Students may dress in blue jeans (jeans may not be baggy, nor can they be too tight) or DLS sweatpants and gym shoes IF they wear a shirt or jersey of their favorite sports team (professional, college, or De La Salle teams only). Note: Hopefully this will be the first day of the White Sox Playoffs so Sox fans get ready to show your pride.
FRIDAY: Manifestez votre esprit Spirit Shirt Day – Oct 8
- Students are encouraged to wear their 2021 spirit shirt this day – but may dress in blue jeans or DLS sweatpants and gym shoes if they wear any DLS shirt
SATURDAY: Danse de retour à la maison Homecoming Dance – Oct 9
- “A Night In Paris”
- Doors open at 7pm * Doors close at 9pm * Dance ends at 10:30pm
- All students and guests need a photo ID and ticket to enter
- Homecoming Dance tickets on sale: $20 per individual ($40 per couple). Guest passes for non-DLS friends must be completed/signed and attached to proof of vaccination before their ticket may be purchased. Tickets are limited – no tickets will be sold after Friday, October 8. Guests purchase a different ticket than DLS students. Online Ticket Purchases.
We have a great week of activities planned to encourage Meteor pride and show off our school spirit in a safe and fun manner.
