The  October Meteor of the Month

Has been a Lasallian Youth leader since the end of her freshmen year and was steadfastly dedicated during the pandemic participating in all Zoom meetings. She’s always been quick to volunteer and her growing confidence is shown when she leads the group in different activities. She has a positive and kind spirit, and is a great role model!

Mr. Chris Wood described her as “respectful and positive. She carries this positive energy into class, the hallway, the lunchroom, and throughout the rest of our school on into her extracurriculars. She shows leadership in our Meteor Grow group and she is always willing to give her personal time and talent to help out others. She is a fantastic person and a wonderful Meteor. DeLaSalle is lucky to have her.”

Ms. Monique Cruz adds “she has been on the swim team for four years. She is a dedicated individual and as a natural leader she supports and inspires the new swimmers on the team.”

She was one of three students who represented our school last summer at the two-week Social Justice Institute held at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. Mr. Dowling writes “going to Memphis for two weeks with our Meteors was a highlight of my summer, and while students earned college credit for this experience, more importantly this month’s Meteor of Month truly shined as her care and cheerfulness brightened others lives.”

We are proud to announce the October Meteor of the Month: Liliana (Lily) Garcia.
