Ms. Contreras in her nomination wrote: “Nicole worked tirelessly on the 2020-2021 yearbook in the midst of the pandemic and returned this year as a senior to work on the current yearbook as the editor-in-chief, a title she also holds for Journalism Club. As a student in my class Nicole is eager to take a leadership role whether she is a leader in a Socratic seminar or during a small group planning activity. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and leadership are noticed by her peers.”
Ms. Cruz wrote, “Nicole is an active leader inside and outside the classroom. She has the motivation to do her best and give herself to her communities. She is a great role model.”
Mr. Miller writes, “As part of the City of De, whether she is the leader of something or just a small part of a large team, she doesn’t change who she is. Nicole is more concerned about the greater good and success of a team as opposed to her own individual success.”
Ms. Monaco wrote, “Nicole goes above and beyond in her studies and involvement in and around the De La Salle community. As a second-year member of Journalism class and club, and as De La Salle’s first-ever communications intern, Nicole readily prepares for coverage for any and all school events. She is eager to interview and compose written and photo stories on her subjects. She is reliable, a natural team leader and has a clear passion for what she does.”
Congratulations, Nicole on being named the November Meteor of the Month.
