De La Salle recently held its annual Founders Day Mass & Candlelight Ceremony as we celebrated our Lasallian heritage as well as honored the Class of 2019.

Among the highlights was the traditional lighting of the candles between the seniors and juniors as a reminder to next year’s senior class of its responsibility to continue the traditions of De La Salle and as a symbol of the light of knowledge that connects us as a community of learners.

There also was the May Crowning of the Blessed Mother along with the “Ave Maria” sung by De La Salle faculty member and after-school choir director Ania Ray.

Additionally, faculty member Br. Johnathon Emanuelson, FSC was honored as a result of his renewing of his vows as a Christian Brother.

Finally, De La Salle faculty member and head varsity boys soccer coach Francisco Martinez ’98 addressed the gathering as he was chosen the Favorite Teacher by the Class of 2019.
