The February Meteor of the Month (MoM) is a Junior, is a peer minister, an NHS member, participates in Cross Country and Soccer, is active in Spanish Club and Creative Writing Club, and is a member of Girls Who Code.
Mr. Mooney sings her praises as a student and person by noting “she is a wonderful student to have in class. She has a diligent work ethic and always strives to excel academically. She is an endeared person to her peers and an inspiration to those who are driven to achieve their goals.”
“She possesses a maturity beyond her years,” said Mr. Wood. “She also is humble while still being helpful to others. She is a real class act.”
Ms. Contreras extolled her virtues as a leader by saying “she is a quiet leader who leads by example in the classroom and goes above and beyond when completing assignments on her own and during group activities.”
“She worked tirelessly and humbly to build the best bridge any student has ever built in the 51 year history of our bridge building contest,” noted Mr. Jackowiak. “She compared, contrasted, calculated, cut, glued, and built an impressive bridge while always being cheerful. This is not something that can be achieved overnight or as an afterthought. The planning and careful hard work she did was clearly evident.”
Congratulations Delaney Ortiz on being the February 2021 Meteor of the Month.
