De La Salle proudly announces that faculty member Diniah Dean has been chosen one of five 2019 Koldyke Global Teachers Program award winners.

The Koldyke Global Teachers program at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs invests in the professional development of five high school teachers in the Chicago region by providing the opportunity for them to enhance and enrich their classroom experience through increased knowledge of global issues.

The aim of the Koldyke Global Teachers Program is to increase the global competency of the selected teachers, to increase the global citizenship of the school communities involved with the project and to share best practices among global educators. Key learnings will be shared with the educator community in the Chicago region.

The program will include access to Council events throughout the year, roundtable sessions on global competency resources, an international travel and study experience during the summer covered by a stipend of up to $5,000 per teacher and a public program hosted by the Council on Global Affairs.

Along with her work in the Computer Tech Center at De La Salle, Dean teaches Introduction to Mobile App Development, Computer Science Essentials, Introduction to Web Page Development and Advanced Web Page Development classes.

Dean has been a faculty member at De La Salle since the 2011-12 school year.

Congratulations, Diniah, on your achievement! Everyone at De La Salle is very proud of you!
