We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Mercy Foundation for their grant of $380,000 to establish a scholarship to continue the legacy of Sister Sheila Lyne and the Sisters of Mercy at De La Salle Institute.
Sister Sheila, a member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy for 67 years, led Chicago’s Mercy Hospital as president and CEO for decades. She was truly a dedicated leader who believed in providing outreach programs for the underserved, the poor in the community.
Recognizing Sister Sheila’s commitment and long-standing relationship with De La Salle, we are truly honored to carry on her legacy.
