“We congratulate Tom on his election to the IHSA Board,” said Fr. Paul Novak, president. “He will be a tremendous asset to the Board and the State of Illinois. He brings a leadership style defined by the core Lasallian values of faith, service, community, and social justice that he learned as a De La Salle Institute student and as principal of our school. Tom is a leader who encourages others to share their opinions and expertise in helping to find solutions to daily challenges. He is focused on creating a rich high school experience complete with robust academic, spiritual, and athletic opportunities. His leadership goes beyond our school community as he devotes substantial personal time to his family, Church, community sports, and as a volunteer in numerous professional and community capacities. Tom will be a force for good in helping the IHSA deliver on its mission to honor diversity, equity, and inclusion in athletics and activities that enrich the educational experience.”
