Forty years ago, a group of Meteors advanced to the Class AA Illinois High School Association Elite Eight in boys basketball.
Now we have an opportunity to honor these men who brought honor and glory to De La Salle!
On February 15 as the current Meteors take on Chicago Catholic League rival St. Joseph in our Parmer Activity Center, we will have the privilege of lauding the 1978-79 De La Salle basketball team that beat Barrington 65-62 in the supersectionals before falling to eventual state champion Maine South in the state quarterfinals.
Thirteen amazing Meteors. One unforgettable team.
