On Saturday, January 15 members of the varsity wrestling team, under the leadership of Head Coach Jason Davidson, volunteered their time in service to the St. James Food Mobile Pantry.
They assisted over 140 clients in securing food for the month. Additionally, they also helped restock the pantry’s shelves for the upcoming week and did it all in advance of a morning practice.
“I’m really proud of our team for their commitment to our Lasallian values of faith, service, and community,” said Davidson. “They are young men of strong character and it is incredible that they took the time to give back to our community while staying focused on their classes and wrestling.”
The wrestling team is 15-3 on the season and poised to enter the post-season with a lot of momentum. The next home match is January 25 vs Bremen, Fenton, and St. Ignatius.
