Bernard Heerey Family Foundation Renews Grant for Multi-Student Scholarship at De La Salle

De La Salle Institute received a grant of $175,000 from the Bernard Heerey Family Foundation to provide financial assistance through the Multi-Student Scholarship Program for the 2021-2022 school year. The Foundation has provided scholarship support of more than $3.1 million to De La Salle since 2007. The Multi-Student Scholarship Program Grant provides scholarships to families with multiple children attending De La Salle. Established in 2020, the Presidential Scholarship Program provides up to 80% of the full tuition cost for De La Salle students who maintained a B+ grade point average or better in the prior academic year, scored in the 97th percentile on the high school entrance exam and received a letter of recommendation from a teacher from the prior school year. For the 2021-2022 academic year, 35 deserving students were awarded scholarships through the Multi-Student Scholarship Program. Loza Sisters Featured on ABC7 Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two sisters are making history as the first girls to play for De La Salle Institute's football team.Mia Loza became the school's first female kicker after the coach saw her kick at soccer practice, and knew he had to recruit her. Now her sister Sissi is following in her footsteps, and is a kicker as well.
