Full-Time High School Spanish Teacher

De La Salle Institute, a Lasallian Catholic high school in Chicago, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish teacher to join its Language Arts Department. If you are an enthusiastic educator committed to academic excellence, faith, and service, we’d love to hear from you.

Position Overview:

As a Spanish teacher at De La Salle, you will inspire students to develop language proficiency while fostering an appreciation for Hispanic cultures. You will be part of a collaborative and mission-driven school community dedicated to Lasallian values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Spanish
  • Illinois teaching license
  • Experience teaching high school Spanish (preferred)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to the Lasallian mission and Catholic education

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish courses at various levels (based on experience and need).
  •  Create an interactive and immersive learning environment.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
  • Integrate cultural elements to enrich language learning.

Additional Information: This position is eligible for the usual and customary benefits provided by the school.

Salary Range: $42,000-$70,000
