De La Salle proudly announces that three members of its Class of 2020 were honored as recipients of the Posse Foundation Scholarship.
Recognized for their achievements in the classroom were Thomas Haepp ’20, Guadalupe Vazquez ’20 and Jonathan Valenzuela ’20.
Since 1989, the Posse Foundation has identified, recruited and trained nearly 8,000 high school students who have extraordinary academic and leadership potential to become Posse Scholars.
These Posse Scholars receive four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships from Posse’s partner institutions of higher education.
As a result, 90 percent of Posse Scholars historically have graduated from college and made a visible difference on campus and throughout their professional careers.
Haepp will attend the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated in the top 13.9 percent of the Class of 2020.
Vazquez will attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated in the top 16 percent of the Class of 2020.
Valenzuela will attend Denison University in Ohio and graduated in the top 6.4 percent of the Class of 2020.
Congratulations and best of luck, Thomas, Guadalupe and Jonathan! Everyone at De La Salle is very proud of you!
