As the Illinois High School Association’s individual state wrestling tournament begins today and runs through Saturday at the State Farm Center on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, we would like to wish the best of luck to the three student-athletes representing De La Salle.
Mateo Portillo ’19 will be competing for the third time downstate. Portillo placed fourth at 152 pounds in the IHSA Class 2A De La Salle Individual Sectional.
Dominee Daniels ’19 is competing for the second time downstate. Daniels was third at 182 in the De La Salle Sectional.
David Ortiz ’20 is making his initial appearance downstate. Ortiz was fourth at 220 in the De La Salle Sectional.
Congratulations to our Meteors and best of luck in the state finals! Everyone at De La Salle is very proud of you!
