In mid-December, the De La Salle community welcomed audiences back to The Hilton Commons to enjoy the annual Christmas Concert performances.

After a couple of years of pandemic restrictions that prevented a fully immersive music experience for both performers and the audience, Mr. Todd Shultz, music director, noted that “it was such a joy to be back in-person.”

“To say that I was proud of all performers at our Christmas concert, would be an understatement,” said Shultz. “Coming out of the pandemic , we have a large number of students that have only recently begun their musical journey, and all groups exceeded my expectations.”

The students rose to the challenge and showcased their ever-growing talents to an appreciative audience.

We featured our band students that began this fall, many of them for the first time ever, our choir, and concert band. “One of the biggest joys of the evening was premiering our orchestra students this year, as they are the first orchestra in De La Salle history,” boasted Shultz. “I was overjoyed with the students commitment to their musicianship, and I am incredibly excited to see how far the students will grow this year, but also in the coming years of our music program.”
