De La Salle Institute is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Head Baseball Coach. De La Salle Institute, founded by the Brothers of the Christian schools, has served the students of Chicagoland for over 130 years making it the third oldest Catholic High School in the Archdiocese of Chicago. De La Salle fosters the Lasallian values of faith, service, community and a passion for academic and athletic excellence.
Candidates should be able to organize, motivate, supervise and develop student-athletes at all levels. Be able to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, staff, and coaches. The ideal candidate must have past coaching experience and at least five years of successful coaching experience as a Head Coach, preferably in a Catholic school along with being familiar with the surrounding areas of the school.. Candidates with experience in secular or public high school environments who embrace Lasallian values and traditions will also be considered.
The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of accomplishment in the following areas: appropriate knowledge for this level of coaching, creating effective practice plans, leading a program of student-athletes and coaches, demonstrate ability to develop growth in student-athletes abilities and overall team play.
· Candidate must possess a Professional Educator’s License or American Sport Education Program (ASEP) Certification CPR/AED and First Aid training
· Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
· Possible teaching/other administrative positions maybe available for selected candidate
