Title: Theology Teacher/Assistant Campus Minister
This position includes teaching 5 sections of Theology and assisting with Campus Ministry
De La Salle Institute, a Lasallian Catholic college preparatory school, is seeking a passionate and dedicated theology teacher and Assistant Campus Minister. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to fostering creativity, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for Lasallian values within a faith-based learning environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching and engaging students in meaningful classroom experiences, and upholding Lasallian values in both their teaching and assistance of campus ministry.
Essential Skills:

- Daily responsibilities include planning for and teaching five sections of Theology along with serving as an Assistant Campus Minister.
- Create and execute appropriate learning and teaching activities that are in alignment with the Catholic faith, our Lasallian mission, and De La Salle Institute standards.
- Implement a wide range of assessment strategies consistent with course content and objectives.
- Resilient, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced
- Actively participate in the life of the school outside of the classroom, e.g. retreats, service programs, and other co-curriculars.

- Experience in planning and leading prayer and reflection experiences
Responsibilities:
- Organizes classroom systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged in learning.
- Establishes a culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all students.
- Develops and implements lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Assesses students regularly in accordance with De La Salle guidelines, examines student assessment data, and refines classroom activities to differentiate instruction for each student.
- Collaborates closely with Social Science Division members (both grade-level and school-wide) to align curriculum across subjects, improve own and others’ instructional practices and share best practices.
- Actively participates in professional development activities that include training sessions and work with a mentor teacher, division dean and principal.
- Provides students and their families with regular and timely information on classroom activities and student progress; finds ways to involve parents/guardians in their students’ education.
- Tracks critical student information and maintains accurate student records, including attendance, in accordance with De La Salle procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, the De La Salle mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Assist VP of Mission and Ministry with the execution of campus wide mission and ministry efforts
- Participate in meetings with the Campus Ministry team twice a month
- Assist with the creation and evaluation of the Faith and Scholars cohort
- Assist with Retreats, Peer Ministry, Mass, Days of Prayer, and Meteor of the Month Activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a Theology background
- 1+ year working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant
Additional Information: This position is eligible for the usual and customary benefits provided by the school.
Salary Range: $42,000-$70,000
