How the Tablet PC Program Works
Starting with the Class of 2010 and on, students are required to purchase or lease a Tablet PC through De La Salle Institute. What if you already own a laptop or other Tablet PC? Can you use it instead of purchasing one or leasing one from De La Salle? De La Salle cannot guarantee software compatibility and compatibility with the wireless network security; therefore, students may not use other laptops or Tablet PCs.
Before the school year begins in August, students receive their Tablet PC when they attend a required orientation session to submit the Acceptable Use Policy and review the details of the Tablet PC program. To assure that all students are confident in their computing skills and understand the importance of using technology responsibly, they will be required to attend training on the use of the Tablet PC and the network.
