Service and Protection Warranty
Any routine damage to the Tablet PC is covered under a warranty, excluding intentional damages. A technology expert at De La Salle will service the Tablet PCs and there will be Tablet PCs available on loan if a Tablet PC is being serviced.
If manufacturer defect or accidental damage causes a problem, then most will be covered under the warranty during the four years at De La Salle. However, if the Tablet PC is abused or not taken care of in the proper fashion, the manufacturer will not give warranty coverage. At that point, any expenses incurred will be charged to the student account. For example, non-warranty: dog chewed through AC Adaptor cord. Damages caused by fire, flooding, and other "acts of God" are not covered. Cosmetic damages, such as scratches on the computer's surface, are not covered.
Theft or loss is not covered under Service or Protection Warranty. Families are urged to add the Tablet PC to homeowner's insurance or renter's insurance.
