Dear Friends of De La Salle,
It gives me great pleasure to start this historic school year and welcome back all new and returning students, parents, faculty and staff to our 120th year of academic excellence. Our educational mission began in 1889 when Brother Adjutor of Mary founded De La Salle Institute and established a foundation for innovative education. He devoted his life to transform De La Salle to become a four-year college preparatory institution, a forward-looking approach at the time, and one that fully prepared young minds for the challenges they would face in the adult world around them. It was Brother Adjutor who also instilled in De La Salle the philosophy of quality education for anyone who seeks it regardless of background, economic status or religious affiliation, another innovative approach to education for his time. This is our foundation and what shapes the De La Salle of today. Our tradition of innovation continues to enrich the lives of our students today through the outstanding curriculum taught by our dedicated faculty utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Without the support from our families, alumni and friends, De La Salle Institute would not be able to achieve such an extraordinary educational experience for the young men and women of our school. I invite you to browse our website to gain further knowledge about De La Salle and how we are providing an enriching and innovative academic experience for all of our students. As we enter this milestone year in our school’s history, I invite you to join me in celebrating 120 years of De La Salle Institute. Sincerely Yours,
