Reminder: All-Parent Town Hall meeting this Thursday, November 12, 2009

This meeting is open to all parents of students at De La Salle. Organized every quarter, all-parent town hall meetings provide the opportunity for parents to come together, hear from one another, and discuss open topics of importance to them, their families and their experiences at “D”.

November’s meeting will cover the following topics:

committee updates and other progress from the Parent Association of De La Salle
brief presentation by Father Paul Novak, President of De La Salle
open forum of discussion among parents

Please join us at 6:00pm in the Media Center (Library) on the second floor of the Institute Campus for Young Men.

Join a Committee of the Parent Association!

We have new committees organized around Fundraising, Volunteering, Communications, Recruiting and Class Representatives. All of these committees are looking for additional parents to become committee members and work towards set initiatives. Some committees are also looking for Co-Chair leadership volunteers.

To foster an informed, interested and engaged body of current parents and guardians of De La Salle students who are committed to executing activities that benefit De La Salle Institute as an organization, its student body and the parent/guardian population.

Upcoming Events:

All parents are invited to this fall’s Ricobene’s Night, Wednesday, October 7th as an opportunity to network with fellow Meteor parents and share in the Back-to-School Spirit! All money raised from the evening will go towards a Parent Association project to supply all De La Salle classrooms with first aid kits.

Stop by for dinner between 5-8pm at Ricobene’s located at 252 W. 26th Street, Chicago, IL. Their phone number is (312) 225-5555. You can also carry out or request delivery. Ricobene’s donates a portion of sales from dine-in, carry-out and delivery orders from De La Salle customers to De La Salle Institute. Make it a Ricobene’s Night on October 7th and help give back to De La Salle!
