Athletic Dept. Philosophy The Athletic Program is an integral part of the total education of the student. It is concerned with the growth of the student and therefore is offered to encourage additional participation in his/her high school experience. Any student who participates in athletics is an extension of the De La Salle community. The school policies must apply whenever the student is representing De La Salle. He/She must realize that they are not only themselves, but every person at De La Salle. The dedication to use God-given talents both physically and mentally is demanded of every student/athlete. The Athletic Program must reflect the objectives of the school's philosophy of Catholic education on and off the field of play. A primary goal of each sport is to reinforce the student/athlete's understanding of the school philosophy. Incoming Freshmen Sports Camps De La Salle's Athletic Staff is pleased to offer Summer Sports Camps for our incoming freshmen students. The schedule for the summer is on the next page. The cost for each camp varies with each sport and that includes insurance, a T-shirt, other goodies and expert instruction from our coaching staff. |
