Financial Aid Information
The Financial Aid Process

De La Salle Institute is using The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Service to conduct financial need analysis for all families. Financial aid does NOT automatically renew. If you wish to receive financial assistance, you must complete an application each year.

Financial aid is awarded to students based on financial need. The goal of the Financial Aid Committee is to award the most amount of money to the greatest number of families. Funds within this program are limited and no full scholarships are awarded.

Eighth-grade students who are interested in attending De La Salle Institute must take the entrance exam at De La Salle Institute. Students who take the test at De La Salle Institute are eligible to apply for financial aid.

The window for incoming freshmen for submitting completed applications is February 17, 2010 through April 1, 2010. The window for current students for submitting completed applications is January 1, 2010 through April 1, 2010.

De La Salle Institute reserves the right to prorate the amount of the scholarship award if a student is receiving outside scholarship assistance.

Notification of final financial aid awards to all qualified students will be mailed out by Friday, May 14, 2009.

Applying OnLine

Some of the benefits of applying online are:
  • Help screens that give you immediate answers to your questions
  • Less paper to deal with
  • Easier and faster -- personal information is retained so the application process next year will be even easier
  • You can pay the application fee online with a credit card or electronic check from your checking account
De La Salle's computer labs will be made available for families to complete online applications. Contact Chuck Kuhn at (312) 842-7355 ext. 150 for information.
