Jenna Duddleston Wins GCAC White Volleyball Player of the Year Award

Meteor Junior Receives Honor

De La Salle Institute proudly announces that student-athlete Jenna Duddleston has been chosen the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference White Division Player of the Year in volleyball.

Duddleston, De La Salle’s junior setter, totaled 361 assists (2.57 assists per game), recorded a hitting percentage of .300 and added 32 service aces and 29 blocks. The Meteors finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 23-8 and a 4-0 mark in winning the GCAC White championship.

Duddleston also was a member of the 2008 All-GCAC White Team.

In addition to her success on the court, Duddleston also excels in the classroom, maintaining a 3.045 grade-point average and ranking No. 52 in the 119-member Class of 2011at De La Salle’s Lourdes Hall Campus for Young Women.

“Jenna had a wonderful season,” De La Salle head coach Anna Marassa said. “She played an integral role in our winning the conference championship and advancing to the regional final.

“I’m especially proud of Jenna in that not only does she succeed on the volleyball court, she also does well in the classroom.”

De La Salle congratulates Duddleston on her achievements and wishes her every future success.
