Council Structure
De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA)
Alumni Council Program

As a member of the Alumni Council for De La Salle, you will serve a class representative for your class year. Class Reps work to achieve the following:

Autonomous Class Groups
  • Self structured--you and your classmates will structure your own gatherings/meetings
  • Self directed
  • Self supporting

Establish contact with classmates
  • As the Class Rep, you will make the first, initial outreach to your classmates to get a group in the works.
  • The department of Alumni Relations will be happy to provide you with a list of names/addresses/phone numbers of the class years you would like to contact.
  • A chain-letter approach may work best to coordinate the effort

Initiate on-going class activities (regional included)
  • Regular lunches, dinners, etc.
  • Regular email contact to share goings on, life stories, etc.
  • Poker parties, golf, basketball, softball, etc. Some of DLS' facilities are available to alumni
  • Retreats
  • Visit sick classmates
  • Interest group activities (could include more than one class year)

Interact with DLSAA
  • Invite organization leaders to your class activities
  • Arrange for a school tour while school is in session
  • Attend DLS special events as a group (Alumni Banquet, D-Final, Golf outing, Hooplas, etc.)
  • Volunteer to help organize and run the above mentioned events
  • Continuously update your class list by locating "unknowns" and passing the info on to DLS for database accuracy
  • Pass along information about class activities and classmate's live for inclusion on the DLS website or magazine
  • Hold two meetings annually with other Class Reps and the DLSAA board to share what is and is not working with the Alumni Council structure. Suggest ways to make the association stronger.
  • Class Reps are always welcome at the DLSAA Board Meetings
  • Support DLS financially (individually or as a class) as best you can

Welcome
